TPAMP was initially a campaign against street harassment and everyday sexism. Launched by ELLE Belgium magazine in 2012, it has become an independent entity in the form of a Brussels NPO.
Women can not be left alone to deal with this form of violence like street harassment and sexist attitudes in general. This is why TPAMP sets up awareness campaigns and educational projects.
The small yellow hand was already used by an antisexist campaign in the 80’s. TPAMP uses the same symbol to express the zero tolerance against racism and sexism. It is the same struggle. The NPO is national with, in Dutch, the slogan "Handen af! Stop seksisme. ".
